Have the grappling hook for detectives and traitors.
It's way too obvious for a traitor to have.

If either a detective or a traitor could use it, you could just as easily tell if they're a traitor or not due to the fact that you can see if someone is a detective. Should they just not have any label, then they, subsequently, must be a traitor.

Only if you have time to look at them, if the traitor is smart then at most you'll only catch a glimpse. The hook for detectivestoo would be neat, and might make killing the detective more beneficial since he can just hook to bodies for dna.

Then maybe it should be for detectives only. It makes it easier for the detective to travel and identify and scan the bodies, and it would give traitors a reason to kill off detectives a lot quicker.

Speaking of, Suika has helped us again by providing us with a working grappling hook for the traitors! Simply point, click, and soar!




Administrators will need to be sure that traitors don't use this to get to inaccessible locations or to leave the general confines of the map, but I can't see this as being much of a problem.
Is it possible to nerf the grappling hook? Right now, it is almost equivalent to noclipping. If there could be a 10 second usage with a 5 second cooldown, that would solve it.

I would think so, however, unlike noclipping, people just tend to get shot down immediately if they do so in a crowd as seen with the Last Stand and the Suicide Bomb as we saw last night, but it could be an interesting counter to excessive usage. Any thoughts on how to balance it (assuming it is unfair, currently)?

Is it possible to limit the distance it can shoot as well? Right now, it can go clean across scarisland.

Do the limited usage thing Ricky suggested. Currently you can stay in the air indefinitely and strafe like bhopping to gain speed and control where you go. You start to go fast enough it's hard to get shot down. Making people have to stop every few seconds would make it more fair.

Limit the uses to 5-10 and limit the length of the rope.  IMO, a good length would be from the ground to the top of the roof on nipperhouse.

Headshots didn't work with it. Fatcat shot someone with gimili at least 10 times in the face with a deagle and he wouldn't die.

So, with the help of TK, I've added quite a few things back and changed things per suggestions:

- End round music is back!
- End round slow-mo is back!
- I've reduced the range of the grappling hook to a very agreeable, fair distance to where you can still go to far-off buildings, but you cannot immediately hook onto the top of the map.
- The defibrillator is now on the server and available to traitors only, for the time being.
