This little beauty is something I just found. I'm waaay into independent games, and rougelikes, so this is my perfect cup of tea. Now, if either categories aren't your thing, then you know this won't be the game for you. But, if you're into this genre or are wanting to try new things, then by all means, download! It's only in it's alpha stage, so don't expect to be blown away, but this game shows a lot of promise.

Anyway, a mini-review from my time playing it so far:

-There's no tutorial, at all, which is unfortunate. But, lucky for all of us everything is easy to learn what-items-do-what and what-monsters-do-what.

-Weird stuff happens, for cool reasons or for reasons I don't understand. Sometimes I'll walk through tons of corridors picking up items and stuff along the way, only to fall into a teleporter to a whole new area, and be completely disoriented. Other times, I'll be bombarded with monster after monster. Stuff might pop out, like a zombie horde around the corner, or madmen with weapons trying to kill you from a teleporter. It's unpredictable, as a rougelike should be. And that's what I enjoy.

I've only played it for about 30 minutes to about an hour now, so I don't know if I've seen all that can be seen, or if there's more content waiting around the corner. With it being in alpha, I think I've seen all of it.

Just remember, if you're not into this kind of stuff, don't go for it.

Edit: I probably should give the link. http://www.delvergame.com/

Looks like a 3D version of the game "Realm of the mad god" with a mix of minecraft.

They're made by the same person. You know shit will be good. And once, IF, it gets multiplayer, I want Red City to host a server for it.

Because that would be amazing. And I would jizz in my pants.

I dislike the collision detection for it. It seems whenever I get close enough to hid the enemies they're able to hurt me still. I like the magic rod thingy though.

Well it depends on the range of your weapon. A dagger is something you have to get like ass-to-ankles close, while a greatsword/what-have-you will have better range.
